Cinema italiano masterclass: a journey through language, film and culture @ King’s College Strand Campus, London
In each lesson we feature a different Italian film, allowing students to deepen their understanding of the Italian language and culture. By watching selected scenes from each film and analysing key moments, students will also develop a critical perspective on popular culture within Italian society.
By the end of this lesson, you will:
- Expand your knowledge of Italian cinema and its significant contributors.
- Develop a critical understanding of Italian popular culture.
- Improve your speaking, reading, listening, and writing skills in Italian.
- Gain confidence in participating in discussions and expressing your opinions in Italian.
- Learn useful strategies for self-study and continuous language improvement.
The masterclass is open to all students with minimum language proficiency of B1 (lower intermediate). The masterclass will be delivered in Italian.

What my students say
‘I thought the class was excellent. Antonio has the ability to be enormously clear, amusing and engaging, and at the same time is an original and stimulating teacher. He helped me to understand more about the Italian language and more about the culture of Italy,. He also helped me to learn ways in which I can go on gaining more knowlege and insight into Italian language and culture.’
