The 16th edition of CINEMA MADE IN ITALY opens at BFI Southbank on 4 March 2026, featuring ten new Italian films and a newly restored digital print of the 1959 classic Un maledetto imbroglio. This year’s programme includes four films by women directors, among them the closing title Tre ciotole con Alba Rohrwacher and Elio Germano. Adapted from Michela Murgia’s best‑seller, the film secured major sales after its 2025 Toronto premiere. Screenings will be followed by Q&A sessions with the film‑makers.

Part-psychological thriller, part-prison drama, Leonardo Di Costanzo’s realistic, sensitively directed story explores the life of Elisa, a prisoner convicted of her sister’s murder.
